Adaptive Water Skiing Have a Go Day

BBS is excited to announce our first ever Water Skiing Have a Go Day, delivered in partnership with Adaptive Adventures: a registered charity who deliver adaptive water and in-land sports and activities.

The event is open to blind and partially sighted people of all ages and will be delivered by experienced instructors, alongside a team of enthusiastic and trained volunteers.

Date: Friday, 11th August 2023

Time: 9.30am-5pm

Cost: £15 (non-refundable)

Venue: Access Adventures, Edge Adaptive Sports Centre, Heron Lake Road, Staines, TW19 6HW

Each participant will have the opportunity to be coached and supported on the water with the addition of an inflatable ride behind the boat. There will also be additional activities for participants to do, for example swimming/paddling and in-land activities. Families or siblings are welcome to join in the additional activities. A BBQ lunch will be provided.

The event will give blind and partially sighted people a chance to experience something different whilst enjoying the outdoors, and maybe a new hobby."

Following expression of interest, BBS will contact all individuals where you will be invited to secure your place and make payment. Places will be accolated on a first come first serve basis. A waitlist will be created to fill spots if there are any dropouts.
