British Blind Sport is delighted to be partnering with Swim England to host this year's National Youth Swimming Gala. The free event will take place on Sunday, November 19th, from 1-5pm at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre, Blossomfield Rd, Solihull B91 1NB. The event provides a fantastic opportunity for young people who are blind or partially sighted aged 3-17 from all over the UK to participate in fun and competitive activities.

Th BBS National Youth Swimming Gala has been running successfully for over 20 years. This year's event will be split into three sections - the Gala, swimming lessons and diving lessons.

The races in this year's Gala will include:

• 25/50/100m front crawl
• 25/50/100m backstroke
• 25/50/100m breaststroke
• 25/50/100m butterfly
• 25/50/100m freestyle

The fun races will include:

• The Jangles fun race
• The float fun race
• The noodle fun race
• The Jangles/float/noodle medley fun race

It enables participants of all abilities to develop their skills, compete against and socialise with others who share similar life experiences and ultimately become better competitors. The event is also a great way for children learning to swim to make new friends and experience swimming in a safe and welcoming environment."
