To celebrate 50 years of British Blind Sport, we are delighted to launch our new podcast 'The Golden Legacy Series' launching on Friday 16th May.
Joining us as our first guest of the season, we were honoured to welcome Tim Hollingsworth, CEO of Sport England.
Throughout the episode, Tim discusses from background, having come from a drama background before transitioning into various sports leadership roles at UK Sport, the British Paralympic Association and most recently Sport England.
He highlights his key career moments, including the London 2012 Paralympic Games and his efforts to promote social inclusion and accessibility in sport.
Tim reflects on the challenges and achievements of his time as CEO of Sport England, particularly in navigating the Covid-19 pandemic and promoting the 'Uniting the Movement' strategy.
The second episode of the season, we welcomed BBS Founding Member and Paralympian, Mike Brace CBE.
Throughout this episode, we discuss Mike's sporting journey from primary school to Paralympic athlete, the roles he held at the British Paralympic Association, accessibility for blind and partially sighted people in gyms and leisure centres, as well as the foundations of BBS.
Our third episode features UK Sport CEO, Sally Munday, and will be released on Friday 13th June.
