We delighted to announce their upcoming snowsport 'Have a Go' Day in partnership with Disability Snowsport UK to give blind and partially sighted participants the exciting opportunity to try snowboarding or skiing (or both) at the Tamworth Snowdome.

This special one-off event will take place on Friday 30^th August between 10.30am and 3.30pm. There will be two groups:

Group 1: 10.30am-12pm

Group 2: 2-3.30pm

Each participant will have the opportunity to enjoy learning snowboarding and skiing techniques with enthusiastic coaches.

Vicky Cook, British Blind Sport Participation Officer, said: "We are very excited about our upcoming snowsport day with Disability Snowsport UK. It's going to be a fantastic opportunity for blind and partially sighted participants to come along and learn snowboarding and skiing techniques and enjoy their time on the slopes of Tamworth Snowdome. The day will be all about having fun, building confidence and learning new skills."

BBS is calling for potential participants to complete an expression of interest form on their website by Monday 22nd July: www.britishblindsport.org.uk/events/2024/08/snowsport

Following the expression of interest period, BBS will reach out to those who have registered with the opportunity to book and make a non-refundable payment of £15. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
