Are you aged 16-25 years with a visual impairment and passionate about sport and physical activity? If the answer is 'yes', then you could help make a visible difference in sport!

British Blind Sport (BBS) is excited to launch the Youth Ambassador Programme (YAP). The programme will provide a unique development opportunity for young people to work closely with BBS staff, its members, volunteers, participants, and partner organisations, bringing together ambassadors from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences.

We are seeking active individuals who want to inspire others and act as a voice for young blind and partially sighted people, helping us to raise awareness and increase opportunities across the UK.

Expectations`;

  • Attend approximately four virtual meetings throughout the year.
  • Engage with BBS projects and research.
  • Willing to share your story and journey through sport.
  • Consider supporting a minimum of one BBS event. For example, Have a Go Day or Swim Gala.

If you would like to be considered for an ambassador role, or you know anyone with a visual impairment who would like to become an ambassador, please complete the expression of interest form: https://bit.ly/3QSR7sK

If you have any questions or require any assistance completing the expression of interest, please contact Laura Turner, Communications Assistant: marcomms@britishblindsport.org.uk
