Our mission is to use the power of sport and physical activity to positively change the lives of blind and partially sighted people. We want to empower, connect and educate.
About the Youth Ambassador Programme
The Youth Ambassador Programme (YAP) will advise, share lived experiences, and engage from a youth perspective to amplify the voice of young blind and partially sighted people.
The programme provides a unique development opportunity for young people (aged 16-25 years) to work closely with BBS staff, its members, volunteers, participants, and partner organisations.
Our ambassadors are passionate about raising the profile of blind and partially sighted sport and physical activity and aim to inspire other young people across the UK to become more active.
The YAP will bring together ambassadors from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences to effectively represent young people across the UK, encompassing factors such as gender, age, visual impairment, ethnicity, and geographic locations.
