The Exploration of Motor Competence in Children and Young People with Visual Impairment
This research, funded by the Thomas Pocklington Trust, explores motor competence in children and young people with visual impairment in England and understanding their sport and physical activity habits, as well as identifying the gaps in physical development and motor competencies in comparison with their sighted peers. The study, carried out in partnership with The University of Central Lancashire, also examines how participation in sport and physical activity affects the mental and social wellbeing of children and young people with visual impairment.
