Lloyd Cowan Bursary
The Lloyd Cowan Bursary will support the next generation of UK athletes by awarding grants of up to £500 once a year. They will be available to coaches, and to unfunded athletes, aged 16-23, for whom cost is a barrier to accessing developmental opportunities in athletics.

About Lloyd Cowan Bursary
ATHLETE GRANTS
The Lloyd Cowan Bursary is a charitable fund administered by a selection panel to bequest grants of up to £500 to unfunded athletes to enable them to participate in athletics. Athletes must be aged 16-23.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
Applications are invited from athletes eligible to represent Great Britain and Northern Ireland, for whom cost is a barrier to accessing developmental opportunities.
How will you use the grant?
The application should demonstrate clearly the difference that the grant will make to the athlete's sporting development and how it will contribute to their progression towards excellence. For example, the grant could be used to fund additional training, transport, treatment costs (sports injury, physiotherapy) or go towards specialised kit.
COACH GRANTS
Grants of up to £500 are also available to coaches, to enable them to participate in athletics.
Who is Eligible?
Applications are invited from UK based coaches who coach athletes eligible to represent Great Britain & Northern Ireland and for whom cost is a barrier to accessing developmental opportunities.
How will you use the grant?
The application should demonstrate clearly the difference that the grant will make and how it will contribute to progression towards excellence. For example, the grant could be used to fund additional costs of accommodation or travel to competition opportunities, warm weather training, courses or towards specialised equipment for athletes.
