The Active At Home Programme

To help keep our members and service users #ActiveAtHome, BBS has worked with inclusive trainers to develop a programme to keep you healthy and active from the comfort of your own home.

Our 2022 programme consists of 3 parts:

1) A live workout week will be held at the beginning of each month, with a different exercise class taking place on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday evenings at 6pm via zoom.

2) On Thursday, an optional pre-recorded session will be available to stream via the BBS YouTube channel. The sessions will be hosted by two new providers and will involve a variety of different activities.

3) At the end of the week, the BBS team will upload recordings of the live workouts for those who were unable to attend. The goal is to do the same class on the same day of the week, every week until the next live workout week at the start of each month. All of our pre-recorded videos are available on our YouTube Channel:

New British Blind Sport Monthly Challenge!

Participate in a monthly individual challenge and raise funds to support British Blind Sport. Your contributions have a significant impact on the work we do and will enable us to help more blind and partially sighted people through sport. You can donate or raise anything between £5 and £500, every little bit helps!

Active At Home Challenge:

  • Complete one of our live workouts during our live workout week. The sessions take place from 6-6.30pm.
  • Take a sweaty selfie of you doing one of our online YouTube sessions during the month and post it in our Active at Home group (all for fun). Make sure to tag us when you post!
  • Complete our mini-workout challenge of 12 Jumping Jacks, 12 Sumo Squats, 12 Triceps Dips, 12 Glute Bridge Raises, 12 Crunches and a 30 second High Plank Hold. Or if that is too much, you decide on the additional activity. You could go for a walk, swim lengths of a pool or create your own challenge!
  • Finally, raise vital funds or make a donation to British Blind Sport!
