Fancy a challenge in 2020? Why not commit to running for British Blind Sport! It doesn't have to be a marathon, we have plenty of races to choose from!
Longleat 10k
The Longleat 10km explores the beautiful Longleat Estate, taking place mostly on private, traffic free roads. This 10km promises spectacular views - and a few tricky hill climbs! There is also an opportunity for children and family or friends to take part in the 2 mile fun run, which covers some of the same route as the 10km! With two different races to suit all abilities, it's a great event to ease you in to the running season and takes place in the grounds of the beautiful Longleat Estate.
The event takes place on February 2nd and registration closes on 22nd January so there's no time to waste!

Registrations are due in by the 18th January and the race takes place on 1st March so there's no time to waste! Whether you’ve already got a place in this event or would like a charity place, BBS would love to have you on our team!

Hampton Court Half Marathon
The Hampton Court Half Marathon is known as one of the "flat and fast" half marathon routes, making it the perfect half marathon for any running newbies, and for anyone aiming for a PB! It also takes place in the area surrounding Hampton Court Palace, with the route winding through picturesque villages and along the river bank.

Barcelona Marathon
What better way to explore Barcelona than by running through the city centre, taking in all of the historic monuments and spectacular architecture? The Barcelona Marathon (or Marató Barcelona) is fast becoming one of the most attractive marathons in Europe and sells out quickly due to the climate and the flat running route! Luckily for our supporters, BBS still have entries!
Registrations are due by 14th February and the event itself takes place on 15th March 2020 - so there's no time to waste!

For the first time, the Manchester Marathon route will head in to the centre of Manchester in 2020, giving participants the chance to see some of the city's iconic landmarks! The Manchester Marathon prides itself on being "Flat, Fast and Friendly" - the flattest major marathon route in the UK with the best support!
Registration closing date is March 1st 2020 and the race takes place on 5th April so you still have time to get in to those running shoes!

The Brighton Marathon and Brighton Marathon 10k both take place on April 19th 2020, the perfect excuse for a trip to the seaside! The route for both distances takes in the sights of the city centre as well as a substantial distance along the promenade with wonderful scenery to keep you going.

Hull Half Marathon and 10k
Can't decide between running a 10k or half marathon? Thankfully, the Hull Marathon weekend has both!! Attracting 1000s of runners to the city streets of Hull, this running festival creates a wonderful atmosphere throughout the city and as a largely flat course, is a perfect opportunity to create a new PB!
Both events take place on 19th April. Whether you’ve already got a place in this event or would like a charity place, BBS would love to have you on our team!
