What is sailing?
Sailing is a sport that uses wind to power sails and propel the sailing boat forward. There are two types of sailing – racing and cruising. Racing is a type of yachting you will identify from the Olympics, however cruising is more of a recreational activity.
How can I sail?
Sailability is a national program developed through the Royal Yachting Association that enables people with disabilities to try sailing and take part regularly. You don’t need to be able-bodied, or even a strong swimmer to get into sailing. The variety of approved Sailability sites will have boats and facilities to cater for everyone.
