What is Gymnastics?
Gymnastics is a sport involving the performance of exercises that require balance, strength, flexibility, agility, endurance and control. There are many disciplines involved in Gymnastics, from artistic and acrobatic gymnastics through to trampolining and tumbling.
How can I get involved in Gymnastics?
Mainstream gymnastics can be adapted to include people who are blind or partially sighted. From local challenges, to elite competitions there are many opportunities available for you to get involved in. Disability gymnastics is a discipline offered through the National Governing Body British Gymnastics, and provides details on where an individual who has a Visual Impairment can get involved in the sport.
