An exciting opportunity has become available to join our small but ambitious and friendly team, as a British Blind Sport First Steps Co-ordinator. British Blind Sport is the National Disability Sport Organisation that supports blind and partially sighted people to get active and play sport.
British Blind Sport is delighted to announce the creation of a new role to coordinate our successful ‘First Steps’ project in the North West, East and West Midlands regions. The project’s purpose is to identify 130 children and their families who could benefit from the scheme, all of whom will receive one of our BBS First Steps activity packs. In addition the families will receive support to connect the children into local community activities.
About the role
The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of others. We are confident that the First Steps programme assists visually impaired children to take their first steps into fun physical activity to promote a healthy sporting habit for life.
While the role will be primarily office based, some national travel and some flexibility to working hours may be required to meet the needs of the families. Working from home may be required at times.

The post holder will be based at our offices in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire located less than 10 minutes from M40 exit 14. Hosting regular social events and training days, the organisation has an ethos of fun and enthusiasm as well as professionalism and passion for our work.
