British Blind Sport is delighted to announce the creation of a new role to coordinate the successful ‘First Steps’ project – assisting visually impaired children to take their first steps into fun physical activity to promote a healthy sporting habit for life in the North West, East and West Midlands regions. The project’s purpose is to identify 130 children and their families who could benefit from the scheme, all of whom will receive one of our BBS First Steps activity packs. In addition the families will receive support to connect the children into local community activities.
While the role will be primarily office based, some national travel and some flexibility to working hours may be required to meet the needs of the families. Working from home may be required.
Could you make a visible difference? The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of others.
