The BBS Youth Advisory Panel is a group of blind and partially sighted young people, aged 16-25, committed to using sport to bring about positive change for people living with sight loss.
Members act as ambassadors for BBS, working alongside the charity to shape various projects and amplify the voices of young people in sport. We are currently reforming our panel to ensure that young people are at the heart of everything we do, give members more responsibility and empower them to take the lead on projects. Members will gain insight into what goes on "behind the scenes" of a charity and specialise in key areas such as:
- Media and Communications
- Membership Growth and Development
- Participation and Community Engagement
This is a fantastic opportunity for young people with sight loss to gain invaluable industry experience, develop professional skills and have a lasting impact on the inclusivity and accessibility of the sport sector.
Applications are now being accepted and will close 29th July 2022 (extended deadline). To apply for this opportunity, you must be registered as blind or partially sighted. You should also be passionate about visually impaired sports and expanding opportunities for young people!
