Our patrons are great ambassadors for the charity and sporting role models for our members and the wider visually impaired community.

The former professional footballer has over 20 years’ experience in blind football; guiding England as coach to numerous European and World Championships. He has also coached the ParalympicsGB team in two Paralympic Games; Beijing 2008 and London 2012.
Noel became one of our patrons prior to the London 2012 Games. He is one of thenation’s most successful Paralympians with 10 medals – including 5 gold medals – across 6 Paralympic Games.
Noel has been a member of British Blind Sport since his youth and credits the charity with helping him start his phenomenal career.
Sally has been involved with British Blind Sport for a number of years. During the 1990s, Sally had tremendous success in the 400m hurdles, winning the gold medal at the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992. She became the fastest in that discipline a year later and held onto that world record until 1995. Since her retirement from elite competition, she has worked as a television presenter and motivational speaker.
